How I Choose What to Play Next
I am Leonard Tucker, and my backlog is a spreadsheet. Every game I own sits in it with three columns: hours available this month, what it asks of me, and what it gives back. That sounds clinical for a hobby, but with a job, a family schedule, and short evenings, curation beats impulse every time.
The Three Questions
Before installing anything I ask: can I learn it in one evening, can I pause it mid-session, and will it respect a tired brain at eleven pm. Counter-Strike taught me precision, Destiny 2 taught me patience with long grinds, and WoW Forever passed all three questions so convincingly that it ate my whole spring.
What Survives the Filter
- Raids worth scheduling: Destiny 2 rituals and Azeroth dungeon nights with real groups.
- Shooters worth queuing: Extraction runs and Overwatch rounds that end cleanly, win or lose.
- Notes worth keeping: Routes, settings and gold observations that survived at least two test weeks.
Why This Matters for Readers
Because every guide here passed the same filter you would apply yourself. If a game demands more evenings than it returns in joy, it does not get covered, no matter how popular. That is why the shelf stays small and, I hope, trustworthy.
